This Hattie necklace is sterling silver plated on brass. Plated jewellery has the same quality as fine jewellery, however, with time, the plated layer will wear off. For that reason, a layer of clear resin is applied to prolong its durability. At least 50% of the brass base metal used in the jewellery is recycled.
