Together, Emma and James Emmerson, both born in 1973, make up the creative greeting cards online company that is known as 1973. Formed in 2003 and based by the seaside near Brighton, they are inspired by cool design and typography and guided by an uncompromising stance on originality and quality.

With over twenty years design experience themselves, 1973 have also branched out as distributers, adding brand collaborations with like-mind creatives such as Egg Press, Rifle Paper, Ashkahn, Carolyn Suzuki and People I’ve Loved to add to the great diversity within their portfolio. Their range includes every occasion from birthday cards, wedding card wishes, thank you greetings, funny cards, new home wishes and graduation cards and more.
