Jan Skácelík was born in 1983 in Olomouc, Czech Republic. After studying Graphic design he worked in various ad agencies and studios until he fully devoted his time to art. His paintings explore the playful world of geometric and organic shapes combined with pastel colors.

Jan Skacelik's Mellow print demonstrates a great choice of colour palette and bold shape really make this print stand out.  I am not a lover of overly fussy patterns that can date quickly, and I find this print perfect - interesting and decorative without being cluttered or trying too hard.  I think Jan Skacelik's artwork will become a firm favourite of ours at Mon Pote and I look forward to adding more of his work to our range.
