Egmont Toys

Designed in Belgium, Egmont Toys see the value in educational play that helps to build a child’s character and this inspires them to create their range of wickerwork and wooden toys. Developing children’s garden toys, gender neutral toys and educational toys, producing original and hand crafted creations of an outstanding quality at reasonable prices through a network of specialised shops and boutiques run by people who share with them a passion for kids.

At the very beginning stage of each design, Egmont wherever possible will choose materials with the smallest impact on the environment, within their headquarters many staff members commute by bicycle and they are currently working on a new project to install a big sun panel installation on their roof surface in order to be self sufficient in electricity.

In the pursuit of creating eco friendly products, they try to limit the impact on the environment as much as possible. Import and export activities exclude air transport and they aim to work with full containers, when shipping orders to customers, the orders are packed in recycled cartons, for pallet shipments, they work with recycled euro pallets and recycle all excess cartons they might have. They are members of the recycling organisations FOST + and VALIPAC.

'In the development of a new toy, play value comes first. A new toy must stimulate the curiosity of a child and help them to develop their dream world. Drawing, painting, assembling, building, playing with a puppet theatre, dress-up… This will all help in the development of a child.
